27x41" one sheet style A poster for 1938 Republic western which featured Roy Rogers in his first starring role. Roy co-starred with Smiley Burnette and Carol Hughes both of whom are pictured along with Roy holding his guitar. Smaller image of Roy fighting man in black in bottom right-hand corner has black felt tip pen signature "Happy Trails Roy Rogers - Trigger." Signature is bold and measures 2.5x4". Poster has some minor restoration along fold lines but these are only noticeable upon close inspection and poster retains bright and clean appearance. As linen-mounted, poster displays NM. Signature area is Mint. A rare and desirable Roy Rogers poster and perhaps the only signed example in existence. Comes with Hake's COA.
