Auction #203 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1428 in auction 203
Item Description
This 1.5" cello carries the text "To H---!! with". Reverse has professionally resoldered 1.25" vertical stickpin attached to a brass plate which is capable of sliding up and down. When the item is worn there is a cord (replaced) attached to a tiny loop on the bottom edge so that the celluloid can be pulled down to reveal across the top edge of the celluloid the word "Bryan" spelled out in brass die-cut letters. While this piece is unlisted in Hake it is a mate to the McKinley item Hake #304 which reads "McKinley/Well/I Guess/Yes." Celluloid of this item has light all over stain plus quite a few surface scratches although these are not deep and really show little other than in reflected light. Mechanical function works perfectly. Overall VG and rare.
