Item Description
The title says it all, Captain America Lives Again. This is the first Silver Age appearance of the famed Golden Age great. While looking through the Arctic seas for the Sub-Mariner, the Avengers spot a body floating in the Gulf Stream. This turns out to be the body of Steve Rogers, who is also Captain America. He has been floating in suspended animation for almost twenty years. Following a few battles with some aliens, the Avengers ask the now-thawed Captain to join their ranks. He, of course, is quick to accept. This issue also marks the first time that Captain America meets the former teen-age sidekick of the Hulk, Rick Jones. Other members of the Avengers making appearances in this issue are The Incredible Hulk, Ant-Man, Iron Man, Giant Man and the Sub-Mariner. The issue was written by Stan Lee and penciled by Jack Kirby. The cover art is also by Kirby and the inks on the issue are by George Roussos. The pages are cream to off-white. The book is CGC-certified 7.0 (FN/VF).
