Item Description
1.25" with covered metal back and horizontal barpin. The celluloid on the piece has taken on a tan tone but there is no spotting whatsoever and the piece retains its unfaded red coloration along with high gloss and perfect centering. Taft is depicted carrying a "Big Stick" as he sits upon a charging elephant wearing red "G.O.P." blanket kicking up a cloud of dust as he heads to D.C. Tiny text on bottom right edge reads "Copyright 1908 Cassius F Donnell." Item is Hake #3177 with 2004 Revised Price guide value of $1600. One of the cartoon classics of the hobby with a modest opening bid.
