Item Description
Nine items. Pulps range in size from 5.25x7 1/8" to 6.5x9.5". Dates and titles include March 1940 “Famous Fantastic Mysteries”, November 1940 “Fantastic Novels”, June-August -September “Famous Fantastic Mysteries”, March 1949 “Fantastic Novels”, April 1956 “Other World’s Science Stories”, and December 1956 “Galaxy Science Fiction” pulp. Last title is digest size. First six issues have some cover dust soil with lt. creasing and edge wear. Inside pages lightly but evenly tanned, though not brittle. Overall covers are VG, insides Fine. Last two titles are VF/EXC. overall. 1953 “Portfolio Of Illustrations” is 9x12" with stiff paper covers and 28 bw pages published by Russell Swanson for the “Nova Press” Philadelphia. Inside front cover includes text “Limited Edition Printed For Subscribers Only”. Front cover has price of $2. Volume contains a total of 15 wonderful examples of detailed Finlay art which includes one on inside back cover. Front cover has nice sepiatone art of pretty girl along with men thinking. Cover edges have trace of lt. age tanning, otherwise portfolio is Exc. A nice group of extremely well-done examples of Finlay art.
