Item Description
1930s. Each is painted cast plaster. One is 6" tall showing Popeye in seated position holding pipe and comes with original glass ashtray insert. Second ashtray holder is 10.25" tall showing Popeye full figure with hands on hips smoking pipe with deco designed base. Small figure has extensive chipping of paint. VG. Large figure has scattered paint flakes with stress lines around neck, however neck did not have complete break and figure was most likely originally cast with wire running from body up to head. Fine. Interesting matching designs showing Popeye with exaggerated facial features.
