Item Description
1-1/8" litho by Greenduck has text on curl "Copyright 1944 Anthony G. Georgeson." The design features shield with "V" for Victory symbol along with the slogan which reads both vertically and horizontally printed across a spread-wing eagle while beneath the wings are small portraits of sailor, marine, aviator and infantryman. Lower left quadrant has a single hairline scratch from the eagle's lower wing towards the lower outer right edge. There is also just a hairline of color off the extreme right upper edge likely as printed and a small 1/8" hairline scratch off the upper left edge barely showing from the front. The overall paint retains excellent gloss and even with the small defects noted is in a condition superior to most of the few examples we have seen. This is Hake #219 which carries a 2004 Revised Prices guide value of $250.
