Item Description
c.1950s. 5.5x22x1.5" deep box is variety with “G-Man Gun” printed graphics and “Tom Corbett Space Cadet” text is rubber stamped on both sides. Front and back panels have graphics of gun. Back panel has 1" vertical tear at top which extends around onto side panel. Bottom edge has 2.5" tear which extends onto side panel. Side panels have creasing and right side edge flap has 1.75" tear. Some wear around edges. Box is VG but front panel is Fine. Contains 21.25" long hard plastic/tin litho sparking rifle. Sides read “Official Tom Corbett Space Gun” and has Rockhill Productions copyright. Very futuristic design with tin litho images of “Rocket-Loading Chamber, Ray Adjuster, Positional Indicator, Range Finder” as well as other details. Attached “Sights” have built-in spring. Wind-up mechanism with built-in key is contained in forward grip. Works with popping sounds but gun no longer sparks due to missing flint. Scattered tiny nicks to litho otherwise bright and Exc. A wonderfully designed, a well-made rifle of the future.
