Item Description
7/8" with portrait printed on a sheet of celluloid held in a silvered brass frame. Listed as Hake Third Party #3045. Maker's name and address is stamped on the reverse metal as well as appearing in tiny text on the bottom edge of the celluloid "Baldwin & Gleason Co. Ld. N.Y. Patd." This company was one of the very first to specialize in printing on celluloid and their lapel studs predate Whitehead & Hoag. The image of Fisk may once have had some darker coloration but all detailing remains clear and there is no stain. Rare.
