Item Description
The National Farmers' Alliance dates back to 1880 and has a fascinating history which included support for the Knights of Labor and was particularly strong in the south. This 4.75" ribbon is for event titled "First Annual Picnic Of The Farmers' Alliance Of Monroe County, At Manitou Beach, August 6, 1891." By 1892 the group was pretty much transitioned into the People's Party which fielded a presidential ticket (see following two related items). Ribbon is rare and Exc. Morry Greener Collection.
