Item Description
1.25" has large union bug stamped on reverse and bottom curl reads "Copyright 1912. J. Soler." The button has all over rather extensive scratching plus a cut on the upper right edge at 2 o'clock about 3/16" long. One of the scratches across the jacket of Seidel is about .25" long and goes through the celluloid making it noticeable to the touch. Vast majority of the scratching shows only in reflected light. The piece does not have any stain and still retains gloss. Debs's running mate was the first Socialist mayor of a major city in the country with his successful 1910 campaign in Milwaukee. While the button has significant damage it still displays very nicely and is a rare and highly sought Debs jugate. Unlisted in Hake.
