Item Description
4-5/8" long with a flat celluloid panel on each side of a flat metal piece with its end in the shape of a thin arrowhead for insertion under the lid edge of a wooden cigar box. Each side of the celluloid handle reads identically with one missing about 25% of the black lettering and the other nearly 100% complete reading in full "The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Makers Of Advertising Novelties With Merit. Newark, N.J." Only example we know of. Also see very early 1892 dated celluloid item by Baldwin & Gleason #531.
