Item Description
Circular brass container 1.75" dia. and about .5" deep has an all over pattern in the brass somewhat resembling scales. The rear of the piece has a hinge and the lid flips up. On the inner surface of the lid is a mirror while the top of the lid has a sheet of celluloid bearing the text as quoted in our title and showing an attractive young woman with blond hair, blue eyes and striking red lips. The company was located in "Philadelphia, Pa" and the cello bears tiny text naming W&H as the maker. Brass has lost most of its bright luster and underside has 1/8" brown dot but overall condition remains Exc. and the celluloid is totally clean. Early 1900s. A rare early medical advertising item.
