This rare watch is the companion model to the equally rare girls model with charms (see item #2373) and was also issued at the same time, Fall of 1937. Similarities exist in both box art and watch case/dial design. However, this watch has a different metal link band with clasp and was not issued with the charms. Box is totally different size/shape from the girls model and is 4x7x1" deep. Lid features great image of Mickey in top hat and cane and wearing a wristwatch, slightly different version of this image appears on the insert. Insert has a couple of minor edge creases but remains in choice, Exc. condition. Plain box bottom has aging with few small moisture spots. Lid has trace of aging/dust soiling with some tiny nicks along extreme edges but remains tight with strong color. Lid VF. Warranty paper Exc. Watch has 1x1.25" case, dial features image of Mickey with animated hands, second hand disc features single image of Mickey that revolves as seconds tick. Watch has exceptionally clean dial, case and band have near full, bright luster. Exc. Running but would benefit from a cleaning to keep time. Rare watch with even rarer box.
