Item Description
1.25" with name of maker on curl "A.E. Patrick." This button likely dates from 1928 when he made the first trans-Pacific flight from the United States to Australia. His other firsts included crossing the Pacific eastward from Australia to the United States and he set a record for a flight from Australia to London in 10.5 days. In Nov. 1935 over the sea off of Burma he disappeared. Cello has small scattered scratches but hardly showing even in reflected light. Beautiful photographic button and the only example we've seen. Morry Greener Collection.
