Item Description
1.75" with W&H backpaper. Center left has pinpoint cello nick barely noticeable and rest of the piece is clean, glossy and Exc. Owner Sir Thomas J. Lipton, the inventor in 1890 of Lipton Tea attempted to win the America's Cup five different times all with yachts named Shamrock designated I, II, III, IV, V. This is the first example of this 1903 button which we have seen. The winner that year was USA's Reliance.
