These full page color illustrations also appeared in the first ever book devoted to Donald Duck which was done in the linen-like format and published in 1935 by Whitman. However, added to this hardcover edition are bw illustrations throughout. DJ has obvious wear/aging/dust soiling. Scattered creases. Back bottom edge has 3" tear w/tape repair on inside. Few other smaller margin tears and small .25 piece missing from both top/bottom spine edge. However, DJ remains glossy and w/bright color. VG. Inside front cover has book plate. Contents show just the slightest trace of wear/margin aging. Totally bright and clean. VF+. Cover has small trace of edge wear, mostly along spine edge/corner tips. Cover remains bright and clean w/vibrant color. Cover VF. A truly exceptional copy of this historic book and scarce w/DJ. Our last copy in slightly better condition sold for $2,142.
