Item Description
1.75" button with backpaper by Colorado Badge. Paper has ripple line and a small tiny piece off lower edge. Outer rim of the button reads "Official Publicity Tour/National Park To Park Highway Assn." The center of the button features a green circle with center text " National Park To Park Highway." Surrounding this are ten circles naming the parks "Glacier, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Yosemite, Lassen, Crater, Ranier." The button is promoting an auto trail plotted by Anton Westgard. It followed a large loop through the west and at one point connected 12 national parks. The two parks not mentioned on this button are General Grant National Park (now part of Kings Canyon) and Zion National Park. This button is from a 1920 tour which included the official photographer Albert Lucier whose photographic collection is in Northwest College, Powell, Wyoming. Cello has a few tiny air dots underneath but hardly showing and displaying essentially Mint. Only example we've seen.
