Item Description
Each is 1.25". The button showing soldier with strong resemblance to General and President Grant has backpaper from St. Louis firm "Shryock-Todd Notion Co." Reverse has .75" hairline cello split along the collet but so thin as to barely show at all. Front of the piece displays Mint. Tiny dark mark at lower right is removed. Second is 1.25" showing parade of Grand Army of the Republic veterans with pair of flower girls dressed in white and carrying huge floral bouquets plus the American flag. The button paper is from the 1920 era although the button has a backpaper naming maker St. Louis Button Co. with a design that was used in the 1940s. Button displays Mint. A beautiful pair.
