Item Description
At 2.5" this is the largest Australian button we have ever seen. It has a concave metal back and its horizontal bar pin is a brass replacement and somewhat loose although it can be positioned to serve its pinning purposes. Curl of the button has name of Adelaide maker Atkinson. Tin back has some general age but the celluloid remains totally clean and shows a large sailing yacht with a large red cross on one sail. The event was intended to raise funds for the war effort. First we've seen. Morry Greener Collection.
