Item Description
1.25" showing the earliest design of Donald from 1935 standing amidst rain drop accents with tiny copyright symbol and "W.Disney" below his feet. Text also reads "Dry In Any Weather-Norwich Knitting Co. Norwich, N.Y." Button has about a dozen very tiny and very light hairlines about 1/8" long mostly on the lower right quadrant. These show only in certain light angles. As with most known examples, this does not have a backpaper although the maker is known to be Orange Mfg. Co. of Newark. Our example used for the photo in Hake's Collectible Pin-Back Buttons in Auction #201 was NM and with a backpaper realizing $1897.00 including premium. This example is Exc. and displays Mint.
