Item Description
This large wood pin is 2.5x2.5" made of wood about 1/8" thick. The back of the piece and side edges are all finished in black. Reverse has metal bar pin with two tiny prongs pressed into the wood to secure it. The piece is finished in very nice color. This has a glossy finish possibly varnish. The riding crop he holds in his raised hand was perhaps a little bit longer but its difficult to tell as there is no obvious broken piece. Also the donkey's tail may have had a fraction of an inch additional wood on its upper edge. At any rate the piece looks and displays complete. Donald is accompanied by a similar donkey in the cartoon Don Donald from 1937. No maker's name. Item may have had a sticker originally. Conceivably it could be a homemade item but we doubt that very much as there is incredible detailing and design is extremely exacting. Only example we've seen.
