Item Description
First is a big and beautifully designed 3" button featuring woman in brief yellow outfit riding a more or less Buck Rogers 1930s style rocket ship. Text reads "Central 185" with the number referring to the particular graduating class. That class number corresponds to the 1945-46 time frame. Reverse of the button is gray metal with about 10% of the gray color off the left side along with some oxidation on the rim edge but the little bit of cello stain is on the curl and none shows at all on the front. Curl is also marked with name of maker Phila. Badge. Button has tiny raised bump upper left caused by the reverse bar pin and a few long but exceedingly light surface wear marks showing only in reflected light. Button displays Mint. The second button in this group is 1.5" and shows another Buck Rogers style rocket ship super-imposed over the graduating class number of "185." This is also by Phila. Badge. Trivial oxidation on reverse but cello is Mint. Both of these are first we've seen.
