Item Description
The first 13 buttons in this group are 7/8" lithos. These are known as the 'Circle C' buttons as all that appears on each button is a copyright symbol. Our thanks to collector Walter Koenig for the information that there are 39 different buttons in this set. Those in this group are: Prince Valiant, Aleta (Val's wife), Mandrake, Lothar (Mandrake's assistant), The Phantom, Devil (Phantom's dog), Dianna (of The Phantom), Tilly the Toiler, Little Annie Rooney, Zero (Annie's dog), Little Iodine's dad, Henry's girlfriend Henrietta, and hillbilly from Snuffy Smith. The second part of this lot are seven buttons from the 1950s King Feature Syndicate set (see previous item). These buttons are 15/16" lithos and the characters are: Snuffy Smith, Prince Valiant, Flash Gordon, Popeye!, Dagwood & Blondie, The Little King, Maggie and Jiggs. A couple of these seven have a few tiny paint rub marks but nothing of consequence. The 'Circle C' buttons are NM to Mint.
