Item Description
These five buttons, each a 1" litho, were given as a Ralston premium in 1946. Pictured is "Tom Mix of Radio Curley Bradley" along with his supporting "Ralston Straight Shooters" cast members, the horse "Tony", the cook "Wash", the sheriff "Mike Shaw" and cowgirl "Jane." Back of each button has a single code word. These buttons were utilized in conjunction with radio broadcasts. The button of "Jane" has a couple of small residue marks on the left rim edge but this is as the button was issued and while this displays NM the other four display Mint as issued. The instruction card has lightly tanned but is otherwise also NM with just a couple of tiny rust marks on the reverse panel caused by the spring pins of the buttons. The mailer, which is actually the rarest part of the group, is in beautiful condition with just a little bit of creasing along the upper edge. It was opened by removing the staple. A great set from the Joe Gura Premium Collection.
