Item Description
Known as the 'Radar Signal' ring, this 1946 premium has a brass base with adjustable bands while top holds rectangular off-white plastic stone which glows a bright soft blue color in the dark. Top slides off the reveal hollowed-out interior secret compartment. With the stone removed, the brass ring top then displays the Sky King Flying Crown logo. The ring top under the stone has some dark tarnish but the areas that show still have VF luster. Next is the 1951 ring offered as "Aztec Emerald Calendar Ring." This had a brass luster base but this example is more silvery in color as it was apparently at one time buried which created small bit of pitting of the metal although vast majority is this is microscopic and does not interfere with the designs of an Aztec calendar on one side while the other side shows a dragon-like animal standing erect. Ring top has narrow metal frame with tiny teeth surrounding a beautiful high domed somewhat faceted green plastic stone. This is among the scarcest of the Sky King rings although condition is less than Fine but still displaying clean and glossy. Pair.
