Item Description
The patch is 3.25" wide in woven fabric with wing designs flanking the clock face Captain Midnight logo. This is a scarce 1943 war years premium and with it comes the 3.25x5.25" folder which opens to 5.25x9.5". The front of this reads "Sleeve Insignia Of The United States Army By Capt. Midnight." Inside are pictured 20 military patches along with Captain Midnight's insignia. Text explains various sleeve insignia and there is a four paragraph message from Captain Midnight reading in part "Because you, as a loyal Secret Squadron member, are salvaging paper and metal, buying War Bonds and Stamps, and doing everything within your power to beat the Germans and Japs -- I know you'll want to wear the Secret Squadron's own insignia." Both of these pieces come with the original mailing envelope. Everything is in incredible NM condition. Probably the first we've offered totally complete. From the Joe Gura Premium Collection.
