Item Description
Each is an all celluloid ring from the 1930s. They were made by companies to which a snapshot was sent. The image was then reduced and embedded in the celluloid with a translucent oval covering. Seven of these rings are of identical design. The two which are not consist of one in various butterscotch colors with photo of man on top. This has a hairline break at the bottom of the bands. Second showing a man against a black background has white bands with small black and pink accents. The seven identical rings are all in black celluloid. At the top a white line surrounds an inner black area and at the center of this is the oval real photo of the person. Three of these are men, one is a young boy, three are women. All but the one ring are in Exc. to Mint condition. In spite of their popularity at the time these are relatively scarce today. These were all collected by the late renowned sculptor Ernest Trova of St. Louis.
