Very interesting and scarce set issued in 1933. Set is comprised of 32 pieces of play money for Presidents Washington through FDR, plus denomination varieties for three Presidents, bringing the total number issued to 35. This lot consists of 26 different. These are: Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, Taylor, Fillmore, Pierce, Buchanan, Lincoln, Grant, Hayes, Garfield, Arthur, Harrison, McKinley, TR, Taft, Wilson, Harding, Coolidge ($500 variant), Hoover ($100 variant), and three for FDR ($1 and pair of One Million). Each is 2.25x5.25", fronts feature portrait at center, backs have bio text for that President. These were issued folded and came in a waxed paper wrapper titled "President's Gum." Lt. aging and handling wear but clean and without any tears. All overall Exc. Lot also include textured cardboard folding box called a "Pocket Album." Front features FDR w/title "Presidents Pocket History Album." Text on back notes this was to be used to hold the complete set "And Have A Complete Vest-Pocket History Of Our Presidents."
