Item Description
Lot of six different, each 1.75x3x.5" deep. Issued c. 1921-1922. Front of each features single animal image with die-cut eyes/mouth and addition facial images on the inside flap so appearance changes when box is opened. One is an elephant, the others are "humanized" images of lion, giraffe, seal, hippo, monkey. Back of each features a circus wagon w/two animals that differ from box to box. Side panel reads "Save Entire Series/Form A Circus Parade." One box still has some candy contents and two "Toy" prizes remain. These are cast metal charms of a train engine and park bench w/pair of hearts. Missing are the cards, but we must point out that these were a series of at least 20 baseball players including Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, and George Kelly. Boxes have aging and scattered edge wear but remain clean. Fine to VF. Scarce.
