Item Description
Large 20x29-7/8" stiff glossy paper poster. Original printing by Tea Lautrec. For series of three concerts held Sept. 14-16 1978 at the Sound & Light Theatre, Gizeh, Egypt. Special guest was Hamza Eldin. Superb art by Alton Kelley of a winged mask w/snakes and roses set against pyramid in bkg. Text below is in English inside the box at left, box at right has same text in Egyptian. This image was later used again for a canceled show at the Rainbow Theater in London and yet again for the remainder of the 1978 European Tour. Of the three, the original Egypt poster is by far the rarest and most sought after and is easily identified by the Egyptian text box. Poster has been professionally mounted to a stiff backing. Pair of vertical creases run top to bottom at center. About eight margin tack holes have color touch-ups so these now blend and are only noticeable upon very close inspection. Other lt. handling wear but remains bright, clean and glossy. Technically VG, but displays VF.
