Item Description
11x31.5". 1957. Made in England by Selcol. Comes w/generic but original box with 3.25x5.25" applied paper label. Box shows wear from useage and has area around handle w/heavy wear, tears and pieces of handle missing. Good. Label has some color loss, lt. scratches. VG. Four-string guitar is made of "Styron" (a high impact plastic). Side and back body color is a marbled dark purple. Facsmile signature of Elvis Presley on the face of the guitar in raised script. Painted w/silver luster. One tuning key unit is totally missing, one plastic key knob is gone as is half of an additional key knob. Guitar has only three of the four strings. Head w/tuning keys has 1.75" dia. paper portrait of Elvis in silver plastic ring. Lt. wear to silver luster on ring, also on accent around center sound hole. Silver paint is noticeably worn on string attachment at base. Noticeable glue repair on bottom of body which once held a loop to attach strap (missing). Repair does not affect general appearance. Scattered wear to back of body with moderate scuffing to a 2x3" area. Overall displays Fine. From the Carl Lobel Collection
