Item Description
Five items. 8.5x11" two sided stiff paper folder unfolds to 17x21". Front of folder has art image of cartoon Green Hornet wearing top hat carrying suitcase with "GH" initials as he stands on record player saying "Well - Here I Am!" Folder unfolds to reveal images of four different printed postcards along with text including "A Broadcast Feature That Has Proved Its Mass Appeal For Three And A Half Years As A Live Program Available Now In Transcribed Series For Stations And Advertisers". Full side of open folder includes text "This Is The Show You've Been Waiting For! The Green Hornet Transcriptions By The Producers Of The Lone Ranger Now Available In All Markets Of The United States And Canada". Left side shows premiums including photographs of Britt Reid the Green Hornet, Green Hornet Golden Jersey milk poster, promo folder and photo offer delivered by milkmen, and four cottage cheese glasses. Bottom has text "A Program Already Groomed On Sixty Three Stations As A Live Talent Show". Lower right corner has attached promo postcard for potential buyer including text "Please Send Me The Presentation That Gives Me Complete Information About The Green Hornet Transcriptions, Including Case Histories, Audience Surveys, Programs Synopsis, Etc." Back cover of folder has nice green accent art image of actual green hornet insect along with text from national broadcasting company Electrical Transcription Service as well as King-Trendle Broadcasting Corporation Station WXYZ, Detroit, Mich. Folder comes with four separate pre-printed 3.25x5.5" postcards. Reverse sides have different images of Green Hornet cartoon character promoting sales of the show to radio station owners/program directors. On one postcard he's pointing to his suitcase which is opened showing money as he says "There's Plenty Of Long Green In My Grip. If You'd Like To Horn In On It, Watch For Another Buzz Tomorrow!" Folder has very slight trace of dust soil as folded. Exc. Postcards are unused and NM. Kit was designed so that the postcards were mailed individually in sequence to arrive four days in a row and the day after the last one the main promo folder would arrive. Extremely scarce and very well done with superb design and graphics throughout. First we've seen in our 45 years.
