Item Description
Eight lobby cards and two magazines. Lobby cards are 11x14" copyright 1956 Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corp. Marilyn is prominently featured on all including dancing with co-star Don Murray on title card. Blank backs have ink stamp of Independent Poster Exchange Philadelphia. Title card has moderate dust soil with lt. creasing at left and right side edges. Card #3 has creasing across top margin with small pieces missing at top edge at right side and a few lt. moisture marks at upper left. Card numbers 3-8 have some paper tape reinforcement around margin areas. Despite problems, set is overall Fine with classic images of Marilyn from one of her most famous films. First magazine is 5-3/8x7.75" titled "Bus Stop" with color front cover of Marilyn having just gotten off bus holding her raincoat over showgirl outfit as cowboy standing behind her looks at her legs. Published by Charles Buchan's Publications Ltd London with 96 b/w extensively illustrated pages with numerous photos of Marilyn along with text story of Bus Stop. Front cover has barely noticeable lt. vertical scuff at right side edge, back cover has dust soil in blank margins. Still clean, tight and Fine/VF appearance. Second magazine is 8.5x10.75" Aug. 1956 issue of "Screen Stories" with wonderful cover photo of Marilyn wearing mink and bus with her and three men in bkg. 84 b/w pages include 3-page photo article "Marilyn's Great Come Back In Bus Stop" including two candid photos of her. Covers have lt. handling creases with a few minor scuffs. Insides are clean and tight. Overall Fine. Nice group for one of Marilyn's most famous films.
