Item Description
c. 1940s made by Columbia Toy Products Kansas City Missouri Copyright King Features Syndicate Inc. 10.25" tall cloth-stuffed doll sits upright with legs extending 8.5". Painted, starched linen face with cloth bonnet, rest of outfit is cloth with ribbon around neck. Faithful depiction of the youthful character from Popeye. Complete original outfit. Comes with original 2-1/8x3-1/8" booklet tag that reads "This Is An Original! Comic Strip Doll...That All America Loves". Inside has list of other dolls including Popeye, Olive Oyl and Wimpy among others. Lace on front edge of bonnet area is a bit worn and frayed but all is intact. Trace of lt. aging. Still VF.
