Item Description
3.5x5.5" British postcard from Valentine series c. 1912 has front art image of Titanic steaming along "Among The Icebergs". Text across bottom of front reads "The Most Appalling Disaster In Maritime History. The White Star Liner Titanic, Sunk On Her Maiden Voyage, Off Cape Race, 15th April, 1912." Reverse side has printed list of ship's specifications and has 1-5/8" wide ballpoint pen signature in address area. Card has trace of lt. dust soil and top corners of front have a few lt. moisture marks. Front is VG. Signature is Exc. Signature was obtained in person by our consignor while on a special cruise to the Titanic disaster site. Comes with Hake's COA. Superb design and historic.
