Item Description
Each is 9x12/25" w/four pages. Two are for Dick Tracy. First title is “What Did Dick Tracy Do Today?” ©1947 w/ specialty art showing all main characters from the strip including Tracy, Junior, Tess, Pat, the Chief, B. O. Plenty, Gravel Gertie, Vitamin Flintheart, Shaky, and Influence. Lyrics include “Since They Killed Flat Top My Nerves Are On Edge, Junior Should Tell ‘Em There’s Bombs In The Hedge.Will Tess Wed Tracy Since Gert Has B. O. ? I Lay Awake Nights, These Things I Should Know”. Second sheet music is titled “Dick Tracy” ©1961 with image of him and Joe Jitsu. Lyrics include “He’s Got A Bulldog Jaw, Dick Tracy, Why He’s The Arm Of The Law”. Third sheet music based on Secret Agent X9 is titled “Wilda” ©1947 w/ words and music by Mel Graff who also drew the comic strip at this time. Cover images of her include necking in a convertible in the moonlight, going for a swim, being kissed by X9, having dinner with him, and at radio microphone “WGY”. A few lt. handling creases here and there, first title has extremely faint moisture mark at lower right side blank margin edge and third title has small ink name at upper left corner of front cover. Overall group is Fine/VF. Well drawn nice examples.
