Item Description
10 3/8x15 3/8" tall overall cardboard with 1916 calendar pad at bottom. Superb chromo lithograph with image of little girl and older sister being waited on by butcher in elaborately designed shop with tile counter which has various meats along with sausages and hot dogs hanging in background and tile facade at top with images of cattle, sheep, and pig. Foreground at bottom is designed to pull out to hold letters. Front has text “Compliments of Joe Astmann Willimantic, Ct.” Likely made in Germany. Corner tips have bit of wear and die-cut letter holder has a few splits at bottom and some creases at right side. Center margin top edge has two small nail holes. Calendar pad paper is tanned on top January sheet and has small pieces missing out of bottom corners. Despite problems, calendar will frame to a bright and Fine appearance. Wonderfully detailed graphics.
