Auction #204 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1446 in auction 204
Item Description
This small but beautifully made item likely dates from the late 1800s. It is 3/8" tall depicting a Liberty cap with cord and tassel and with the word across the center against white enamel and with a series of five stars below against a background of blue enamel. The main part of the cap is in a translucent red enamel. The back of the piece has a very thin threaded post plus a screw on cap. The back of the hat is marked "Pat Appld For/Gold/126" (with this number probably being an individual's membership number). Rare and unusual and of the finest quality. Mint.
