Auction #204 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1446 in auction 204
Item Description
2.25” litho. At the left, a metal tab attaches to the button a lithographed tin donkey whose body can be pulled up and down by moving a small black string attached at his nose. The movement provides the effect of the donkey kicking the elephant in the rear end. Some of these were discovered years ago with smoke damage suffered in a warehouse fire but this example shows no smoke effects of that event. There are just a few widely scattered near pin point wear dots. Overall outstanding paint. Reverse has Chicago address for “Character Display Co.” Our last three examples this clean ranged from $300-$500. From the Morry Greener Collection.
