Item Description
2.5" stickpin has glued on die-cut celluloid flag with front bearing his portrait in blue tone plus the text in red. A tiny portion of the letter "M" of "America" is without color but otherwise the piece displays Mint as made. On the reverse the folded celluloid that wraps around the brass pin carries the name of the San Fransisco maker "Irvine & Jachens." Unlisted in Hake and the only example we've seen. Rare.
