Item Description
This design is extremely common as a 13/16" litho. This however is a 1.75" celluloid. Attached beneath the collet at top is an rwb fabric ribbon with gold text, although faded. With close inspection text on ribbon can be discerned as "Coshocton County Convention Oct. 18, 1920." Ribbon has some soil and a .25" hairline fabric split at upper left. The top of the ribbon is held by a 1-3/8x1-7/8" celluloid top in gorgeous color depicting eagle perched on American flag above a crossed rifle and saber. Background is subtly colored showing open prairie scene with mountains in bkg. and beautifully colored sky area. The bar pin on the back of the celluloid came loose but has been fastened in to place by numerous strips of magic tape. While the ribbon has some obvious age everything remains quite intact and the button itself is a large format celluloid rarity.
