Item Description
This is one of the rarest and most impressive celluloid items for the Davis 1924 campaign. The name references a city in West Virginia, his home state. While designed as a large format button the reverse has a patterned brown cardboard backing and rather than a bar pin there is a 1.25" long wide vertical metal clip so the piece can be easily worn. Bottom curl has name of maker W&H. Cello surface has about a dozen virtual pinpoint raised bumps that will catch reflected light but under normal viewing these do not detract at all and the piece remains totally clean with perfect centering and high gloss. Only example we have ever offered. Rare. There are sales records exceeding $4,000.
