Item Description
c. 1940s. 15.5x 17.75" silk-like fabric with felt accent color and fringe around sides. Front has shield design and blue reverse side is blank. Pair of 2" strips of missing fringe, cover fabric is heavily creased as mailed but would iron out to Bright and VF appearance overall. Comes with 1x6x11.75" cardboard mailer addressed by Private at Fort Devens to family member in New Hampshire. Left side of front has insignias for Army, Navy, Air Corps. Moderate wear and missing flaps but mailer front is Fine. We have had many different styles of these pillows over our 45 years but this is the first original mailer we have seen.
