Auction #204 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1446 in auction 204
Item Description
These buttons range from 2" to 2.5". Hake Guide values for the first five items total $219 and there are 13 additional buttons not included in that amount. In row 1 the first jugate button "Sure To Click" is Hake #4. While the front displays totally clean the reverse has a .25" and .5" hairline cello split but cello lays flat enough to not create any bump on the rim edge. The second jugate is Hake #9. This has the very slightest trace of a little blue tone on the upper white background as the vast majority of these were made. The third item "Give Ike A Republican Congress" is Hake #35. The fourth item is a scarce cartoon button "Block Captain For Ike." This is Hake #2102. Fifth is a "Press" button used on an Eisenhower trip. This is Hake #2091. All of the buttons are celluloid with the exception of row 3 #1 which is a bw flasher and row 3 #3 which is actually a pocket mirror. Row 3 #4 has a little light fade but all other items display very cleanly and are basically Exc. condition. In the bottom row is a full color Ike portrait button probably from the 1970s and the final button reads "I Like Ike/Organizational Day" showing a building. We don't know what this references but it seems to be c. 1970s. A very nice group.
