Item Description
Each of these is from the Levin Collection. The first has a "Badge-A-Minit" back along with Levin's removable ink date of "1983." Front has art work picturing activist with text "Free Leonard Peltier" and part of the design is his inmate number "972355." There are a number of pinpoint age dots around the center of the button. This button is 2-5/16" and the only example we've seen. Second is a 2.25" beautifully designed button showing four Native Americans with text "We Have The Power To Save Little Earth/Little Earth Tenants Committee!!" This button relates to a 1982 lawsuit by the group against the U.S. Dept. of Housing charging arbitrary and capricious behavior in violation of national housing policy in its administration of the Little Earth Housing Project, leading to its ultimate foreclosure. Only one we've seen. Great design and Mint. Comes with Hake's COA.
