Item Description
Clear plastic display by Riddell with pennant sticker on lid “Throwback” contains 5.25" tall mini helmet. Right side of helmet has fiber-tip pen inscription “Bart Starr 15 Ice Bowl 12/31/67" and ltd. edition number of 102/115. Mint. The 1967 NFL championship game between Western Conference Champion Green Bay Packers and Eastern Conference Champion Dallas Cowboys was the 35th in NFL history. The game was held at Lambeau Field and due to frigid conditions that the game was played in it has been immortalized as the Ice Bowl and is considered one of the greatest games in NFL history. Green Bay won the game 21 to 17 led by quarterback Bart Starr. Starr was quarterback for Green Bay from 1956 to 1971 and head coach from 1975 to 1983 compiling a record of 52-76-3. He was named the most valuable player of the first two Super Bowls and inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977. Comes with Hake’s COA and JSA COA. A great display piece.
