Item Description
All c. 1930s. Each is issued by Hecker H-O Company makers of H-O Oats and Force Cereal. 6x9" envelope with "H Bar O Ranch" return address in Buffalo has label addressed to recipient. Envelope contains slick paper folder showing premiums including badge, bandanna, belt, gun, holster, hat, chaps along with early 1930s photo of younger Bobby Benson and his horse Silver Spot which was clipped from folder along dotted lines as designed. Folder also has 6" split along one fold line. Also includes 5.5x8.5" certificate with recipient's name filled out in ink in proper place registering him as a "Ranger On The H Bar O Ranch". Envelope has had stamp torn off at upper right of front and is VG as is folder. Certificate is Exc. Next two items are soft cover books, each 5x6-7/8" copyright 1936. First title is "Bobby Benson And The Lost Herd" and second title is "Bobby Benson And The Tunnel Of Gold". Each soft cover has 72 text page story with additional pages in back with color comic strip format. Covers have lt. creasing both overall Fine. Last is set of ten premium pictures, 7.25x9.25" slick stiff paper with wonderful photos of cast in costume c. late 1930s. Images including Bobby, Windy Wales, and Polly Armstead with their horses waving their cowboy hats, Bart and Aunt Lily with their horses, H-bar O Rangers in Africa and Native American Harka atop his horse with text "Harka Sends Greetings To His White Friends". Trace of light aging overall but set has VF+ appearance. An instant collection.
