12 items. A superb personal lot of items involving western super fan Wesley Paul and his wife Kathy who were close friends with James and Janet Arness. All photos were taken at the Arness house. Autographed items include 7-7/8x10" color photo with James Arness in center with his arms around Wesley and Kathy with Wesley holding framed image of Arness from "How The West Was Won". Lower left has bold Sharpie pen signature "To Wesley Kathie Many Thanks, Jim Arness". Next is 8-5/8x11" spiral bound "James Arness 2007" calendar with numerous photos of Arness as Matt Dillon from Gunsmoke. Front cover has bold signature in Sharpie pen at left and right "To Kathy & Wesley, James Arness "Matt". Third autographed item is 4.75x7" birthday card with photo on front of dog balancing dog biscuit on nose with text "Looks Like You're Still Up To Your Old Tricks" with printed text inside "Happy Birthday, But Not Looking Any Older!" 3.5x4" area on inside has ballpoint pen inscription "Happy Birthday Wesley & Hears (sic) Wishing You Many More - Jim & Janet". Janet has written her own first name. Group also includes two personal checks made out to Wesley Paul with one for fifty dollars in 2003 with "Aurness" name at top and the other made out for twenty dollars date Christmas 2004. Each has been filled out and signed by Janet Arness with the spelling of her last name matching the spelling on the check. Final items are seven color photos of the Pauls. Two are 4x6" and the remaining five are 8.25x10". One smaller photo is a copy of the larger signed photo and another is a different pose taken at the same time. Of the larger photos, two show the Pauls with Arness including presenting him with his 82nd birthday cake and the Pauls cutting the cake. One check has vertical fold, otherwise group is Exc.
