First two are glass with chain frames c. 1898. First one is 6x8.5" with portrait of Dewey with American flag at left and eagle and shield at lower left with cannons and ammunition shells. Text reads "Rear Admiral Geo. Dewey U.S.N. Commander-In-Chief Of The Asiatic Squadron." Barely noticeable small chip at lower left corner tip, still Fine overall. Second image is on 8x10" glass with large image in center and flags at upper left and right with text in center "The Avenger Of The Maine" and title at bottom "Admiral Geo. Dewey". Lower right side has tiny moisture dot, chain frame has lt. oxidation. VF appearance. Largest frame is 17x22.5" period oak with wood back and 14.25x19.5" opening revealing 3/4 length image titled "Admiral George Dewey, U.S.N." copyright 1899 by the Taber-Prang Art Co. Print is lightly tanned near top but is still Fine. Frame has tiny bit of wear but is Fine. Next print is in 12.5x14.5" gold painted wood period frame with wood backing with mat in center with 7.75x10" opening with oval portrait of Dewey including text "The Hero Of Manila And His Victorious Fleet" with text around bottom of inside mat "You May Fire, Gridley, When Ready." Exc. Next two are in modern wood frames. First frame is 12.75x15.25" with archival mat with 10x12.5" opening revealing color image of Dewey draped by American flags with images of three named ships at top and bottom. Exc. Last frame is 13x18" with archival mat with 9.25x14" opening with wonderful image of large ship from the White Squadron with other similar ships in bkg. and image of Dewey at upper right in wreath design draped by American flags.
